Hosting an international conference requires many hours of preparation from many people with a diverse range of knowledge, skills and abilities. The Foundation for Ecological Security (FES) has organized a core group of staff members devoted to preparing the IASC 2011 Conference, who bring knowledge on commons, skills in event management and strong leadership abilities. Those interested to join our team at FES are encouraged to contact us at: iasc2011@fes.org.inFurther, in the run-up to the Conference, there would be many opportunities for collaborating with FES - through partnerships and sponsorships on various commons-related initiatives. Specifically, as FES is engaged in conservation and livelihood enhancement, we seek to partner with organizations working on natural resource commons. Through partnership, FES hopes to place sustainable and equitable commons management and governance on the policy agenda in the rural development sector at the State and National level within India, and regionally across South Asia. FES would also hope to provide a platform for organizations working on digital, urban, new commons, and global commons to bring their work to the Conference. Organizations interested in sponsoring any aspect of the Conference are encouraged to contact us. We look forward to discussing your ideas for collaboration: iasc2011@fes.org.in
