We encourage the submission of proposals for organizing panels focused on a specific theme or topic. A panel session may have 4-5 papers focused on a central theme. A total time of about an hour and a half is allocated to each panel presentation. It is up to the organizer of the panel to determine how to fill those hours (in terms of number of speakers, etc.). However, time for questions from the audience and discussion needs to be considered.
- A panel submission would need an identified organizer/coordinator, an abstract summarizing the aims of the panel session and how each paper will contribute to the overall aim (abstracts should be a maximum of 500 words and include names and affiliations of the organizer and individual presenters), planned outcomes (if any) and additional abstracts for each paper to be presented within the proposed panel (using the template form as described above).
- The panel and the constituent paper abstracts shall be reviewed together. It would be helpful if all the abstracts came through the panel organizer, so it is clear that they are intended to fit together as a group. The online submission system has provisions to add abstracts and its individual details to a single panel abstract submission.
- Please note that in case of Panel submission, the Title and Abstract and its respective Indexing will pertain to the Panel as a whole. To add constituent papers to the Panel, click ‘Add Paper’. Each Paper, in turn, will have its own Title, Abstract and Author/ Co-Authors.
- Users are requested to submit panel proposals into the online system by choosing submission type as ‘Panel’ and adding constituent papers through ‘Add Paper’ and not by selecting submission type as ‘Paper’ and subsequently adding constituent papers as supplementary files.
- The IASC2011 Online Conference System does not require that all constituent members of a proposed panel submit individual abstracts as well, in order to be considered as part of the panel proposal. However, all panelists are required to register as Users into the Online Conference System, as group registration is not possible through the system. This will be helpful in their registrations at a later stage.
Please note: Travel grants shall be awarded only to select authors among those whose abstracts have been invited for final presentation at IASC2011.Final decisions on award of Travel Grants shall be subject to fund availability. Funding will only partially cover the whole costs of participating in the Conference. Also note that in the case of submissions selected for final presentation and having more than one Author, only one amongst them shall be considered for Travel Grant Award.

Step 3. Upload Supplementary Files.
In this step, authors of Poster and Video abstracts may choose to upload images (in specified format and permissible file size) or links to their videos.
If not applicable, click Save and Continue to proceed to the next step.
Step 4: Confirmation
Click ‘Finish Submissions’ to complete your submission. You would receive a notification email from IASC2011confirming the receipt of your completed abstract submission.
The submission shall now be archived as ‘Active’. If at any stage, the submission process is left incomplete, the submission shall be archived as ‘Incomplete’. The User may click on the Title of the Abstract under ‘Incomplete’ to complete it or choose to delete it completely.
You may log in to your user account as ‘Author’ to track the progress of your submissions or edit any incomplete submissions.
The conference system limits submissions by a particular User to just two, but does not limit them from featuring as co-authors in any number of papers/posters/videos/panels.
