South Asia Exchange Programme - Common Property Resource (SAEP-CPR) IDRC-IASC-FES

International Development Research Centre (IDRC), along with the International Association for the Study of the Commons  (IASC) and Foundation for Ecological Security (FES), is pleased to host the South Asia Exchange Programme – Common Property Resource (SAEP-CPR) from the 7- 17 January, 2011. The programme is a part of IDRC’s celebrations of its 40 years in Innovating for Development.

This program is specially designed to promote mutual exchange and build the capacity of a new generation of scholars and practitioners towards addressing critical issues related to the management of the commons. The Exchange Program will be held from 7-17 January 2011, alongside the IASC 2011 Conference, where scholars, policy-makers and practitioners will congregate. It not only provides an opportunity for 15 young scholars from South Asia and China, with special focus on regional, topical and gender representation, to participate in the Conference and present key issues related to common property resources in their country/region but also to gain valuable understanding of the complexities in commons management and governance through workshops and field visits specially designed for them.
